Today, I have got a very wonderful thing for you. Friends,most of you must have got the latest version of Windows, which is Windows 8.1installed on your PC (If you haven’t, click here). Many of you may even have usedthe ‘Activator/Crack’ provided by Awdsoft for activation of your Windows 8.1.But, there is a very bad news for all those people who used our Activator. The activatorprovided by Awdsoft expired on January 15, 2014 and is no longer able toactivate any version of Windows 8.1.

Now, not taking a breather, here I go with the steps…
  • Download the Windows 8.1 Activator fromhere(Download Activator)
  • If you have already tried another Windows 8.1 activator,then scroll down (end of this post)
  • Password is ‘awdsoft’
  • Extract the ‘KMSpico.exe’ file
  • Run as Administrator by right clicking the icon(Activator) and choosing ‘Run as Admin’
  • Wait for the Installation process to complete
  • In some cases, the installation process stuck ata particular point, if it happens with you, force close it from the TaskManager (ALT+CTRL+DELETE)
  • Go to “Local Disc C: > Program Files >KMSpico” and run ‘KMSpico.exe’
  • Click on ‘Token Backup’ button which is a ‘GreenArrow Facing Down Icon'
  • After that, Click the ‘Red Button’
  • Wait for the process to complete and then closethe activator (it may take some time for the process to complete)
  • Restart your Windows 8.1 to remove watermark (ifthey exist)
  • If watermarks are still there after Restart, useour Watermark remover to remove it (Download)
  • Just check the ‘Remove all Watermark’ optionfrom the watermark remover
  • Click on ‘Apply New Settings’ and Re-start yourPC.

So, I think that most of you were able to activate yourWindows 8.1 but there may be some of you who have already tried anotheractivator for their version of Windows 8.1. Those who earlier tried anotheractivator have to follow a few more steps to use the above activator.
Steps to Activatewhen ActivationAttempt done earlier:
  • Extract and Run ‘Winact 1.4.1.exe’ included inthe Activator file(Download Activator)
  • Run as Administrator by right clicking the icon(Winact1.4.1) and choosing ‘Run as Admin'
  • Go to ‘Options’ tab and choose ‘Reset Licence'
  • Wait for the small process to complete and closeit
  • Then follow the steps above to activate Windows8.1 for Lifetime!

Well that didn’t take too long, did it? Pirated versions of Windows 8.1 can now be activated via a KMS workaround.

Neowin community member FaiKee tipped us that the a dodgy KMS tool can now activate Windows 8.1 by using a traditional Key Management Service workaround, and it works for all editions of Windows 8.1 too.

This type of hack has long been used to “officially” activate Microsoft products, including Office and previous versions of Windows.

With Windows 8.1 being only a few days old we dare to say that we’ll probably start seeing a lot more “activated” copies of the OS being installed thanks to this hack.
